As the AVP, MRM (Associate Vice President, Model Risk Management), you will have a significant role in the administration and improvement of the model validation standards within the company’s collaborative and innovative work environment.
Position Overview
The AVP, MRM plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing model validation standards, guidelines, and technical manuals. This position involves regular interaction with global risk management colleagues and necessitates high-level technical report writing and presentation skills. The successful candidate will provide key input to the company’s validation policy and work collaboratively with a diverse, empowered team that values mutual respect and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, testing, and documentation of model validation standards
- Coordinate the peer review process and offer feedback on findings from assurance reviews
- Deliver insightful reports based on findings from assurance reviews
- Spearhead the delivery of training and provide guidance to model validation colleagues
- Liaise with model risk management colleagues on a global scale
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of model development/validation tools and methods across varied model types
- Previous experience in providing technical assurance or auditing of model validation activities
- Familiarity with internal procedures and regulations, with knowledge of regulations of other countries beneficial
- Proven experience of technical report writing, preferably as a model developer or independent validator
- Strong ability to present complex statistical concepts and results in a compelling manner
- Excellent team-player with a proactive attitude and the ability to complete tasks independently to high-quality standards
