We are seeking a visionary Head of Engineering to spearhead the technical direction and innovation within our CTO’s Engineering practice. This pivotal role involves leading the design and development of state-of-the-art software and applications, ensuring excellence in quality, scalability, and security.
As a key leader, you’ll work closely with product owners, architects, and engineering leaders to align technology strategies with ambitious business objectives.
Your Role:
- Directly report to the CTO Head of Engineering & Platform Enablement, championing technology solutions that propel business success.
- You’ll manage a team and budget of approximately 50+ resources, ensuring the banks technology solutions are world-class.
- You will support strategic initiatives for Speed, Scale, & Resilience, while fostering a world-class CTO capability.
- Lead by example, overseeing best practices in software development, from coding standards to testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to craft a cohesive technology strategy that mirrors the bank’s goals.
- Stay ahead of the curve by integrating the latest technologies, developing vendor relationships, and driving innovation.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience leading an Engineering team in a banking or financial services context or any other industry, with a deep understanding of technology, strategy, and business planning.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating diverse teams to exceed their goals.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical worlds, with a knack for solving complex problems.
- A global mindset, with experience in managing cross-cultural teams and operations in a matrix organization.
