Our client is a distinguished global bank offering a wealth of financial services to diverse clients worldwide. They’re currently seeking a seasoned Accounting Policy Implementation Manager to join their dedicated team in Krakow, Poland. Position Overview
As an Accounting Policy Implementation Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering critical financial strategies within the company. Your role involves ensuring the updating of essential accounting documentation, maintaining the reliability of accounting data, and understanding regulatory requirements. You’ll be responsible for integrating these relevant products into the operating system, thereby driving impactful fiscal changes across the entity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and updating of comprehensive accounting documentation complying with Group and local requirements
- Safeguard the integrity of accounting data through pertinent analysis and controls
- Ensure thorough understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements and implement applicable products into the system
- Stay ahead of new Group requirements and regulatory needs
- Manage local and group chart of accounts and keep a maintained database for accounting schemes
- Handle queries from business, operations, and accounting teams proactively
- Collate with Tax and Accounting policy team to ensure requirements are well adapted in accounting documentation
- Participate in implementation projects for new standards or regulations and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are up-to-date
Requirements
- Senior financial services professional, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
- University degree in a finance-related discipline
- Solid experience in finance project implementation from an Accounting/ reporting perspective starting from requirement understanding, data sourcing, and reporting
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and running dual reporting processes – IFRS and Local GAAP
- Relevant banking financial, regulatory reporting experience; prior work in similar environments
- Understanding of GL systems, French GAAP knowledge preferable
- Proficiency in both English and French (desirable)
- Ability to work independently, have good planning, organisational skills, and adapt to changing environments
