Our client, a globally recognised finance corporation, is looking to recruit an experienced “AVP, Model Risk Management” to join their team based in Krakow, Poland. This is an exciting growth opportunity for a professional who has a strong technical assurance or auditing background in model validation activities and can deliver high-quality timely reports on findings from assurance reviews.
Position Overview
In this role, working within the Model Risk Management (MRM) function, you will oversee administration of peer review processes and provide input on validation policy and sampling approaches. Reporting directly to the Chief Model Risk Officer (CMRO), you’ll be instrumental in liaising with model risk management colleagues across the globe and delivering training, advice, and guidance to model validation colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, testing/assessing, and documentation for model validation reports.
- Run the administration of peer review processes.
- Influence validation policy and sampling methods.
- Deliver high-quality, timely reports on findings from assurance reviews.
- Foster relationships with model risk management colleagues globally
- Lead the delivery of training and offer expert advice and guidance to model validation colleagues.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of model development/validation tools and methods across different model types
- Previous experience providing technical assurance or auditing of model validation activities.
- Familiarity with internal procedures, local regulations, and country regulators’ requirements
- Proven skills in technical report writing and experience with presenting recommendations to Senior Management
- Ability to simplify complex statistical concepts and results persuasively.
- Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently to a high-quality standard.
