This global financial institution is seeking a skilled PMO to support the Programme Manager in delivering agreed business plans within cost, quality, and timescale objectives. Position Overview
As a PMO, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of business plans. You will be responsible for monitoring and escalating risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID) to resolution, managing delivery governance arrangements, and tracking budgets and benefits against committed targets. This position requires a proactive approach to promoting quality reporting, implementing delivery standards, and managing project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the Programme Manager in delivering agreed business plans within cost, quality, and timescale objectives
- Monitor and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID) to successful resolution
- Manage and monitor delivery governance arrangements, adhering to the bank’s Change Framework
- Monitor, report, and manage delivery budgets and expenditure
- Proactively track benefits and OKRs against committed targets
- Promote quality reporting on delivery status updates, RAIDs, milestones, and OKRs, upholding DAO reporting guidelines and standards
- Implement DAO delivery standards across all areas of change, undertaking quality assurance checks throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Manage and update project documentation, process documents, and information sources
- Provide support for delivery setup, on-going tracking, and closure activities, acting as an independent facilitator for delivery post-implementation review
- Act as the Change Framework SME, providing advice, managing internal communications, and promoting the framework
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a PMO role
- Experience working in data-related change, preferably within financial services
- Working knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is essential
- Experience with agile management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Familiarity with the bank’s standards and processes
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders (IT and Business) at all levels within a global matrix organisation model
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to coordinate and analyse multiple project and work stream data
- Proven experience designing and implementing process improvement at Portfolios or Programmes
- Proficient in spoken and written English
