Our client, a reputable organisation in the finance sector, is seeking a skilled and qualified individual to step into the role of a Senior Business Analyst. An exciting opportunity for career growth, you will be immersed in the world of Markets and Securities Services, helping to drive a key multi-year change programme.
Position Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll be working on multiple streams to tight deadlines, aiding in the delivery of the BCBS “Fundamental Review of the Trading Book” (FRTB) to the Bank of England for regulatory approval. You’ll be operating at the confluence of Product Control and Traded Risk, managing data sources, enhancing profitability and loss procedures, and overseeing the accurate and timely capture of FX positions. Your contributions will directly shape operational efficiency and regulatory compliance within the company.
Responsibilities
- Working to understand and enhance the FX position process, including its capture in Product Control and how it’s shared with Traded Risk.
- Liaising with and guiding Traded Risk on PC business processes pertaining to FX position and FX P&L
- Determining the cause of any P&L Explain data exceptions and managing their resolution.
- Improving the governance of adjustments made by Product Control, including developing improved visualisation tools.
- Partnering with Traded Risk on related matters, such as the accurate and timely capture of FX position
- Managing daily IPV and sharing of market data time series with Traded Risk
Requirements
- Experience in Markets and Securities Services
- Part qualification as an accountant (preferable) backed by a strong knowledge of Global Market Products
- Minimum two years of Project Delivery experience, including working on data quality & governance projects.
- Solid understanding of Project Lifecycle; a related qualification is preferable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a proven rapid learning capability in a changing environment
- Strong analytic skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
