Position Overview
The Senior Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager position is instrumental in upholding the financial integrity of the company. The role involves overseeing the French GAAP regulatory reporting for HBCE, collaborating with diverse teams to facilitate financial due diligence, and maintaining a robust control environment. Through initiatives that enhance efficiency and provide valuable insights, this role significantly contributes to the seamless operation and strategic development of the financial Centre.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery of French GAAP regulatory reporting, meeting all statutory obligations.
- Lead initiatives for standardisation and automation of reporting processes.
- Collaborate with the Finance Change team to support financial product evaluations and complex transaction analysis.
- Uphold compliance with SOX, internal regulations, and external procedures.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to maintain productive relationships.
- Advance reporting processes in line with HSBC Group Finance directives
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in financial control and regulatory reporting
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) or Bachelor’s degree in Finance with strong technical skills
- Proficient understanding of IFRS Accounting and Reporting
- Demonstrated ability to influence across varying levels of the business.
- Proven expertise in risk identification and mitigation within Reporting processes
- Ability to drive positive change and challenge conventional processes.
- Knowledge of the French language would be advantageous.
