Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a skilled Senior Python Engineer to join their Global Treasury team in Krakow, Poland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building future-proof modelling solutions that deliver powerful insights to both internal and external customers.
Position Overview
As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be responsible for building and implementing Python-based modelling solutions and containerised solutions for the Global Treasury department. You will work closely with various stakeholders to create synergies, ensure compliance, and deliver practical software solutions that address evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement Python-based modelling solutions for Global Treasury
- Develop and maintain containerised solutions and CI/CD automations
- Create a robust, reusable coding environment for efficient model deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end design and planning
- Implement strategic software solutions following best practices
- Ensure compliance with HSBC Group standards and regulatory requirements
- Work with Quantitative Analytics teams to build practical software solutions
Requirements
- Strong experience in backend development of large-scale Python applications
- Proficiency in at least three of: Python, Fast API, Apache Airflow, S3, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience with containerised solutions and CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms
- Knowledge of writing technical documentation and test-driven development
- Familiarity with finance, particularly quantitative finance, is a plus
