Position Overview
The VP – Regulatory Reporting Remediation will lead the analysis, review, and optimisation of regulatory reporting processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and implementing control enhancements to reduce risk.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and review regulatory return preparation processes
- Investigate reporting errors and lead remediation efforts
- Map and optimise reporting processes to identify inefficiencies
- Design and implement control uplifts to reduce risk
- Collaborate with data teams on data lineage documentation
- Track and document remediation plans and corrective actions
- Partner with business, data, and technology teams
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed
- Provide programme and project support across various tasks
- Drive continuous improvement and recommend enhancements
- Support target operating model work for sustainable embedding
- Promote a culture of control awareness and best practice
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of key regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel, EBA, PRA)
- Experience with data lineage, traceability, and process remediation
- Ability to identify, assess, and remediate reporting errors
- Strong risk assessment skills and control enhancement expertise
- Demonstrated ability to optimise reporting processes while maintaining compliance
- Understanding of the role of Regulators and Regulatory Reporting
- Finance and Regulatory audit background desirable
- Capability to solve complex problems and drive improvements
- Highly collaborative with strong management skills
